Valentines Day

I got two Valentines Days this year! On Valentines Day my poor boy was sick. He came home and got me BEAUTIFUL tulips and a WONDERFUL card! Probably the best card I have ever been given!!! It was just so cute! Anyways... he brought me my tulips and card and then we went out to dinner at AMORE. Cute right :) The service was kind of slow and sucky but the food was pretty yummy! Then we came home and went to bed.

Oh my dad sent me a cute little teddy bear that said I love you on it! Very cute!

Then the next day Michael was feeling better so we made our DELICIOUS chocolate covered strawberries. Oh baby were they good! Oh man I want more right now!

So that was our first Valentines Day as an engaged couple :)

So Michael and I have wanted to go to the Maritime Center since we moved so close to it. We kept saying we would go but never did and this past weekend we FINALLY WENT!!! It was so much fun! It was small and didnt take more than 2 hours to go through the whole place but it was something fun to do. They had a lighthouse display which was fun because I LOVE lighthouses! They had frogs, sharks, turtles, big fish, small fish, crabs... yeah just about everything. It was a lot of fun and I'm so happy we finally got a chance to go!

Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Woo hoo its 2008! That means I'm getting married next year!!! Hehehe :) So new years was a ton of fun! Elyse, Jenn, and David came over to our apartment and we all hung out. We looked at Jenn and David's wedding pictures and watched their wedding video. Then we ordered pizza and watched Superbad. My poor Jenny was sick and not feeling so well but she sucked it up and had fun with all of us. We played this game Taboo, freaking HYSTERICAL! So that was my new years, tons of fun!

The Melting Pot

We went to The Melting Pot last night and it was soooo much fun! We had been wanting to go for a while so we decided that since its expensive we would pick a special occasion and go then.
Well I have been trying for a while now to find a new job and we made a deal that once I got a new job we would go so... I GOT A NEW JOB!!! YAY!!!!











It took about forever but I finally got a new job! So we went to The Melting Pot and had so much fun! We were going to do just the dessert but we were both so hungry and it was a special occasion so we went for the whole four course meal!
I still think its a bit pricey but its so worth it to go and do the whole thing just once to experience it :) We started with the fiesta cheese fondue course. Its made of cheddar cheese and they mix in salsa and jalapeños and what not... so yummy. . Then they give you all sorts of veggies, bread, and chips to dip in the cheese YUM! Then it was onto the salad course. I got a delicious caesar salad and Michael got a spinach and mushroom salad, both delish. Then the meat course... it came with... EVERYTHING lol.
Two lobster tails, shrimp, chicken, filet mignon, ny strip, two pastas, pork tenderloin, and lots of veggies and dips and sauces. It was so fun! Then for my favorite part... the DESSERT! Oh baby was it good. They brought it to our table and we thought that we would not be able to finish it because we were so full... well not only did we finish it but we asked for extra strawberries and bananas :) Oh baby it was so good and a ton of fun! These are a few pictures we took while there... getting a little carried away with the fondue forks. hehehe Is it bad that I was more excited about going to the melting pot than getting my new job??? lol :) So about the new job... Im going to be an administrative assistant at a marketing group called biondo. Its right here in Stamford like 10 minutes from my house which is great (and its right next to one of our favorite restaurants: The Crab Shell YUMM) Im so excited to have a normal 9-5 job with a set schedule and set pay. Im working tomorrow then I start Monday full time :) Im so excited!

Football

What a great fiance I am playing football with the boys lol. I had the morning off last Saturday and the boys wanted to go play football so we went. It was quite entertaining! For the most part I just stood around and looked pretty and took pictures. But then the boys started mocking me and making fun of me so I started kicking some butt! I was a tackling machine, I was unstoppable, I was ridiculous haha :)

Christmas ornament

How cut is this ornament I just made. I wanted a fun ornament to celebrate the super exciting news of our engagement so I found this snowflake and added a picture of my ring and painted on our engagement date and then MTM&C... a cute little inside joke kind of thing that means I love you! Man am I crafty or what, and a big dork too I know :)

Soon to be Mrs. Troester

So my girls are the absolute best girls in the world! Elyse and Megan bought me this AWESOME baseball shirt that says Soon to be Mrs. Troester and I seriously LOVE it! They are just the best! We went to David's bridal on Friday bc were girls and we have been waiting for someone to get engaged so we could all go and try on dresses so once I told them I was engaged the first question was not oh how did it happen, it was... so when are we going to try on dresses lol. It was a lot of fun! We found some bridesmaid dresses that we really liked so that was exciting.
I also got to FINALLY tell all of my sisters that I'm engaged! It was great, Sara's reaction was by far the best. I had on my cool new t-shirt and I took off my jacket and she just started screaming!!! It was great! All my other sisters were super excited too! Its starting to feel a little more real now that people know but I still kind of feel like I'm dreaming or something lol. I think once my mom knows and once we set a date I will be happy and maybe feel more like I'm seriously getting married :)
