Mmm...

This year I decided to try my hand at making various treats for friends and family instead of just giving store bought presents. Two of my favorites are below...

Come on... how good does that popcorn look!!!

I also made these cute little "Christmas Eve Mice Cookies" which the one and only Miss Tina Sue gave me the recipe for.

These mice almost looked too good to eat... almost!

Someone sent me this video in an email a while back and I thought it was incredible! If you have a few minutes please take a look. If I am every having a rough day or feeling like nothing is going right I try to watch this video and it helps to put things in perspective! You've got to see it! It is really life changing!

I AM FLIPPIN' COLD!!

I just wanted to paint a picture for you... Both me and my fiance are sitting on our couch cuddling together... not to be cute because we love each other (which we do of course lol) but to share body heat. We both have on our FREAKING winter jackets, big fleece blankets, 8 layers of clothes, our warm fuzzy slippers, and yes I am wearing a scarf. Did I mention were SITTING ON OUR LIVING ROOM COUCH!!! WTF! ITS FREAKING FREEZING IN HERE MAN!!! I can literally see our curtains blowing with the breeze, real flippin' nice! I think I saw my breath while eating dinner too. SUMMER WHERE ARE YOU???

These are a few of my favorite things...

Elyse, Sara, & I decided to venture out to down town Stamford one day this past summer to check out all the fun statues they had. I told them to look serious next to the farmer couple and this is what I got...

When we were posing with our girl Marilyn this car full of little old ladies drove buy and started clapping and honking at us. They couldnt get enough of us, obviously neither could we!!!

Playing in traffic

I was trying to get some pictures of our first "real snow" the other night but it was just not working. So I decided to play around with the car lights instead. The last one is a cop car that drove by at just the right time! I know none of these are great quality pictures but they were fun...

JK's anyone?

JK’s looks like any modern fast-food restaurant, but photographs on the wall tell another story: decades of weenie history. The nostalgic black-and white pictures show JK’s with its hot-dog sign hanging over Main Street many years ago; interior pictures show a spic-and-span diner that has served the Hat City’s working-class clientele since the 1930s.

Anybody who's anybody knows about JK's! I grew up going to JK's. I chose to go to Western Connecticut State University simply because of its proximity to JK's... okay that part is not entirely true but luckily for me they are in the same town! Now that I live all the way in Stamford and my fiance is a health nut I don't get to JK's as often as I would like. Well this weekend was my moms birthday and that is where she wanted to go for her birthday dinner!!! We could not have been more excited. They have the most amazing "Texas hot wieners" in the world! They also have quite tasty clam chowder. Really anything you get there is great! So if you are ever in the Danbury area make sure to swing by JK's for some good dogs!
